Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Inc., plans to build an energy-efficient house, producing little waste, sometime in the near future in California. He would like it to serve as an example of what can be done to help the environment and reduce energy bills.
He will incorporate the concept of using less energy in the actual construction of the home, as well as creating a home that will be more energy efficient during it’s operational life. According to a recent interview, two innovative ideas that he’s considering are: the ram-dirt method or blocks made of Southern Yellow Pine, by Enertia. Did he mean rammed earth, not ram-dirt?
