This year there have been some energy-saving initiatives in famous cities around the world to show that we can make a difference just by turning off the lights.  This past Saturday, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara took part in turning off the lights for 1 hour which was expected to save enough energy to power 2,500 homes for an entire year!
