Furniture Companies Seeing Green At High Point Market

Twice a year, furniture representatives head to North Carolina for the industry’s biggest trade show to see the latest offerings. The green factor was presented at last month’s show to enlighten attendees about more sustainable furniture manufacturing. From earth-friendly foam cushions to natural-fiber fabrics and use of reclaimed woods, green ideas abounded. In 2008, finding eco-friendly furniture will be made easier when a “Sustainable by Design” label will be awarded to companies that make a commitment to sustainable business practices.
