Being a Jersey girl, I know first hand why NJ is called the “garden state”, even though many people associate New Jersey with a less desirable ambiance. But the little state has everything: rolling hills, farmland, forests, cities, and the ocean, making it a great place to live, if you can afford the taxes!
Even a Pennsylvania-based company, Liberty Property Trust, appreciates NJ’s attributes and wants to help preserve its environment. It has constructed a LEED-certified 103,000 square foot building on the former site of the NFL Films Headquarters in Burlington County. It is only part of an anticipated 20-acre plan that will include four buildings to be built to the U.S. Green Building Council’s environmentally-friendly LEED standards. I can only hope that green building will catch on elsewhere in the state since construction has been one of the state’s most popular pastimes.
