Autodesk recently announced its dashboard prototype that performs sustainability analysis within building design software to improve the design process. Adhering to the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED standards, the dashboard allows engineers and architects to measure a design’s environmental impact while still in the design phase. It will also ascertain how many LEED points can be obtained through each design rendition.
According to Autodesk, “The instant and interactive means to evaluate innovation, water, energy, indoor environmental quality, and carbon footprint elements could give designers an immediate sense of the results of different design scenarios.”
Autodesk’s website enables viewers to get a first-hand look at a high-tech video displaying this inventive concept.
