UC Berkeley Childcare Center Awarded LEED’s Silver Medal

The University of California, Berkeley celebrated its recently awarded LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for its new, green campus childcare center.

The Haste Street Child Development Center incorporates energy and water conservation techniques, non-toxic materials and furnishings, green cleaning methods, recycling stations, and organic meals. Not only is the facility eco-friendly, but it will provide a healthier environment for the children and faculty.
