With regards to putting an aerator on your kitchen faucet typical low flow is 2.5 gallons per minute but there are actually aerators that restrict water as low as .5 gallons per minute. The lower gallon per minute aerators are good for your bathroom faucets but for the kitchen you will probably require a higher gallon per minute model. There are also low flow swivel head aerators which are great for the kitchen, here is a link to examples http://www.faucetaerators.com/swivel-head-faucet-aerators-c-25.html you can't buy them here but can get them at the hardware store.

Purchasing green cleaners is another way to keep your kitchen eco-friendly. Check for a green label on your kitchen cleaners, such as EcoLogo or the Green Seal Certification. Products with these logos have been third party tested and have met a series of environmental standards.
