Free Green Building Workshops Offered in Iowa

The Butler County Rural Electric Cooperative (REC) and the Iowa Central Community College Green Building Institute are offering two free workshops for those interested in practical ideas for building green.  The intention is to help those remodeling or building new tips to save money, natural resources, and energy.

Workshop topics include:

• Green construction methods
• Technologies and building techniques
• Energy efficiency and personal energy choices
• Energy Star heating, cooling, lighting, appliances
• Landscaping
• Recycling
• Touchstone Energy Home standards
• The new ICCC Green Building Institute
