Useful information. Fortunately for me, I discovered your website by accident, and I'm stunned why this twist of fate did not come about earlier! I bookmarked it.

To those who mention cast iron:

Cast iron is great. I've used it for decades but now I'm older and I take less fuel. I've switched to water-based cooking methods for the most part or oven based cooking but..

> saute is fast and gives a texture you cant imitate.

A cast iron pan stays slick and wonderful but..

> at the cost of using lots of oil.

Takes all kinds of opinions to make a village and more to make a city and more to make a country and even more to make a world.

I am always thinking about being wide, inclusive and kind.

Why don't they think about cast iron? It's also best for green cookware. It's rather easy to maintain and durable (I've chosen pre-seasoned). The best thing is heat evenly.

Metal Cookware cannot be Green! The manufacturing of metal is one of the main pollution causers on the planet. Just because the inside coating may be green according to the manufacturer the other 98% of the product is NOT.

Check out Xtrema 100% Green and mot Toxic to humans and the planet.

Why not try a well-cured cast iron skillet? They last forever, and you can even pick them up second-hand.
