Green TVs?

Thinking about buying a new plasma or LCD television for that special someone? Well, now you can find TVs that aren’t quite the energy hogs as they used to be. A program to reduce electricity usage, and thereby reduce pollution and global warming, “Energy Star” comes to the rescue.

Products rated through the program use less energy to operate, and TVs are no exception. They’ll use about 30% less energy than standard TVs, and don’t worry, quality is not sacrificed. Most major brands offer Energy Star rated products. Click here to find out who offers what.

Another great idea for saving more energy is to plug in all the home entertainment electronics into one power strip and just click it to the off position before calling it a night.
