Housewares with a Green Twist

recycled-content-countertops1.jpgIt boggles my mind how many greener alternatives already exist for household items. Last week, the International Home and Housewares Show 2008 was held in Chicago and many new, eco-friendly products were revealed.

Such innovative products include the 8-outlet Kill A Watt power strip, green non-stick cookware, recycled content countertops and decorative moldings, corn-based “plastic” products, reusable water bottles, recycled plastic products, green cleaning machines, non-toxic cleaning products, and energy efficient space heaters.

Keep your eye out for newly emerging products that are healthier for you and for our environment. To maintain the growing movement towards a greener future for your family, support those companies that incorporate best practices into manufacturing and packaging processes.
