National Solar Tour

This fall, sustainable homes and buildings across the country will be open for touring as part of the American Solar Energy Society’s annual event.  Attendees will see first-hand how energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green remodeling, can help reduce monthly utility bills, support energy independence, protect against power outages, and reduce carbon emissions.  Here’s your chance to learn about real world costs of, and tax incentives for, utilizing sustainable technologies.

This year marks the tour’s 14th year.  Last year, close to 140,000 people visited some 5,000 buildings in 3,000 communities.  Tours will take place on Saturday, October 3, and are typically free & open to the public.  Visit the ASES website to find, or organize, a tour in your area, and to check out lots of information and resources regarding solar energy.
