Survey Reveals Room for Improvement in Greening Workplace Habits

Share this on:

A recent poll of over 2000 workers by Harris Interactive revealed that Americans have better green habits at home than at work. People are more apt to conserve energy and recycle at home than they are in the workplace.

Why is that? Perhaps it’s the financial savings at home that gets us to turn off the lights when we leave a room, or maybe it’s the fact that many companies have yet to implement recycling and conservation programs that make it easier for us to be green.

Regardless, our efforts do make a difference and help make our world a better place for our kids and grandkids. Plus, just thinking optimistically here: if you save your company money by engaging in green activities around the office, perhaps a financial reward will show up in your paycheck!
