Ugly Floor? Floating Floors to the Rescue!

Share this on:

cork-flooring.jpgIf you have a hideous old vinyl or linoleum floor, or even a concrete slab that needs covering up, the new click-in-place floating floors are great fixes. They don’t require glue or the ripping out of the old floor. These easy-to-install floors can typically cover a wood sub-floor too, as well as ceramic tile, but you may need to do some leveling out of the existing floor first.

There are many “green” options available, like: cork (pictured here), linoleum, and engineered bamboo and hardwoods. Not only are these floors sourced from natural, renewable materials that are sustainably harvested, but the finishes used are non-toxic and low-offgassing. (We recommend checking with the manufacturer regarding their specific product).

To find the perfect eco-friendly flooring for you, just do an online search for the type of flooring you are interested in, or for one-stop shopping, visit Green Building Supply here.
